Amy P. Ferguson, MD FAAP
Dr. Amy Ferguson founded Lake Norman Pediatrics in 1987. She attended Salem College then completed medical school at Wake Forest University in Winston Salem, NC. She then concluded her residency program at Richland Memorial Hospital.

Gianna D. Madrid, MD FAAP
Dr. Gigi Madrid concluded her undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She attended medical school at the University of Miami School of Medicine and completed her residency program at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL. Before joining LNP in 2000, she worked as a general pediatrician and hospital emergency room physician at North Shore Children’s Hospital in Salem, MA.. |

Robin C. Ray, MD
Dr. Robin Ray has been associated with LNP since 1987. After completing undergraduate studies at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC, she attended medical school at Wake Forest University in Winston Salem, NC. She did her residency training at Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia, SC. |

Avani Doshi, MD FAAP
Dr. Avani Doshi joined LNP in September 2004. She concluded her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. She then attended medical school at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in Cincinnati, Ohio. She completed her residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois and at the Ronald McDonald Children’s Hospital. Prior to joining LNP she worked as a hospitalist at Children’s Memorial Hospital and Rockford Memorial Hospital near Chicago, Illinois. |

Laura O’Donnell, MD
Dr. Laura O’Donnell joined LNP in March 2004. She attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She then completed medical school at St. Georges University, Grenada, West Indies. She completed her residency at Albany Medical Center, in Albany, NY. |

Karen Mayhew, PA-C* AAPA
Karen Mayhew received her BS degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed her Physician Assistant training at Duke University in Durham, NC. She joined LNP in 1995 and is board certified by NCCPA. |

*Certified Physician Assistants (PA-C) are required to have at least 2 years of extensive training in an accredited, formal education program and pass the NCCPA Certification Examination. Following completion, they are qualified to provide diagnostic, therapeutic and preventive healthcare services as well as prescribe medication under the supervision of a physician as determined by N.C. State Law. |
